Lisa Chowansky's Bio
After graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Lisa spent the first 10 years of her professional career working as an Account Executive based in New Jersey for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems. Her responsibilities included account management for all Johnson & Johnson domestic operating companies. During that time, Lisa was the recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the company.
In 1997, Lisa left the corporate world to pursue the growth and development of HC Constructors, Inc., a civil construction family business based in Whitehouse, NJ. For over 20 years, Lisa has been leading HC Constructors, Inc. as President and Owner. A General Contractor specializing in Sitework, Underground Utilities, and Concrete; HC Constructors, Inc. prides itself on Safety, Integrity and a Solutions Based Approach. Under Lisa’s leadership the organization has realized significant growth and expansion.
Lisa served on the New Jersey Chapter of Professional Women in Construction’s Board of Directors as Vice-President and President. The Professional Women in Construction’s mission is to promote, support and advance women in the construction and related industries. Lisa is also an active member of the NJ Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA).
In 2017, Lisa was honored by the Professional Women in Construction as a “Woman of Achievement” and selected as a “Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs” by the Leading Women Entrepreneurs organization.
Lisa and her husband, Harry, reside in Avon by the Sea, New Jersey.
Harry Chowansky's Bio
Harry Chowansky is Vice President of H.C. Constructors, Inc. and has been working in Construction in the Northeast Region for over 35 years. Harry leads overall operations and business development initiatives in industrial, public sector, higher education, health care, energy and pharmaceutical industries.
?Harry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Utility and Contractors Associations where his roles included Past President (2014), Chairman of the Labor Negotiations Committee(Present), Co-Author of the Clean Soil Act, Department of Labor Committee Member, Legislative Committee Member and Safety Committee Member. Mr. Chowansky also currently serves of the board of Trustees for the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey and is an active member of the Chemistry Council of New Jersey, the New Jersey Utility Association and the NJ Alliance for Action.
?His work in the community includes serving on the Board of Trustees for the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation where he is currently Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. He is a past Board Member of the Gill St. Bernard’s School in Gladstone, NJ where he served on the Building and Grounds Committee. He has been active in a variety of industry-related volunteer organizations including the Appalachian Service Project and Habitat for Humanity. He was also on the Board of Directors and past President for his community church, Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Tewksbury, NJ.
?Harry is a lifetime resident of New Jersey, attended Rutgers University and currently resides in Avon by the Sea, NJ with his wife Lisa and their four daughters.

Liza Pope's Bio
Liza Pope has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, focused on heavy civil sector such as underground utilities, sitework and concrete.
Liza is from Hawaii where she earned her degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii. Throughout her career has served in the role of Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager, Director of Operations and Lead Estimator. In her current role as Vice President of Estimating, Liza is responsible for project estimating, contract negotiations, and client relations.
?Liza is in involved in several industry organizations such as PWCNJ, UTCA, ACCNJ. She participates with the PWCNJ Scholarship Committee and Mentor Program, CO-Chairperson of the UTCA Scholarship Committee and the ACCNJ Internship Program committee.
Liza utilizes her extensive knowledge of construction practices and cutting edge estimating software to provide clients with cost effective solutions.

Scott Handel, P.E 's Bio
Scott Handel is a licensed engineer with 30 years’ experience in the engineering/construction field. He has served as an estimator and project manager for utility/heavy civil contractors, a design engineer for an ENR top 100 Firm, a construction/business consultant for a Big 4 management consulting firm and as a proposal manager in the power industry.
Project experience includes: all aspects of utility transmission and distribution construction for water, gas, stormwater, wastewater and electric/telecom. Includes services, regulator, meter, pump stations and Horizontal Directional Drilling. Scott is also well versed in road construction, restoration and maintenance
Scott has extensive knowledge in all aspects of construction projects: take-offs; scheduling; contract negotiation; purchasing/buyout; sub-contractor negotiation and bid analysis; project controls; change order and scope creep identification; project costing; project close-out; P&L reporting; Design/Build projects
Scott is from New Jersey and earned a BS in Civil Engineering and an MBA, both from Rutgers University.

Scott McClymont's Bio
After receiving his first controllership over twenty years ago, Scott McClymont has spent the last ten years in the construction industry working for H.C. Constructors, Inc. Before coming to H.C. Constructors, Scott was employed at Handy Store Fixtures Inc., a manufacturer in Newark, N.J. It was a Handy Store Fixtures that Scott received his first controllership.
At H.C. Constructors Inc., Scott is responsible for all finance aspects of the company's health includes daily cash flow issues, banking relationships, financial statement preparation and all other matters concerning finance and the profitability of the company.
A life-long New Jersey resident, Scott grew up in Bridgewater N.J. and attended Monmouth University where he received a Master’s in Finance. Throughout Scott's career as a controller in the construction industry he has always been involved in all areas of the company and believes that being financially active in each project's individual funding, budgeting and labor
coordination is key to a healthy and profitable company.
